Submission to the Tribunal of Enquiry into the events of 7th May from Fred Twine, who subsequently acted as Chair for a number of Free University meetings in the week commencing Monday 13th May
I was much involved in the events following the Inch meeting and commonly regarded as a leading ‘Moderate’. I was generally not politically in agreement with Fred Twine but had great respect for him – for his honesty and for his impeccable chairing of the large meetings held in May 1968.
