John Tillett’s fourth appearance before the Tribunal of Enquiry into the events of 7th May (pp. 308-313 of transcripts); along with questions also on the proposed topic of Dr Inch’s lecture, Tillett, who was in the Chair at the student Chemical Society meeting, is again questioned at some length on the precise timing of the call to the police for assistance following the disruption, and on the decision to make it; Tillett readily, and with good grace, accepts the Tribunal’s findings that his recollection may have been at fault on this specific issue
