Shaw’s brief written submission to the Tribunal of Enquiry into the events of 7th May details the throwing of mustard powder over Dr Inch, as his lecture to the student Chemical Society was disrupted by protestors at Wivenhoe House, and his subsequent scuffle with student demonstrator Brian Reeve, which the writer dismisses as a fairly minor incident
