Lucia Jones’ fairly short appearance before the Tribunal of Enquiry into the events of 7th May (pp. 260-265 of transcripts) involve questions on the planning meetings prior to the demonstration against Dr Inch’s lecture to the student Chemical Society, on the scene as the visitor’s exit from Wivenhoe House was blocked, and on the scuffles outside in the car park afterwards; Jones claims she arrived at the lecture with a copy of the indictment and was nervous but ready to read if necessary, although it transpires during the questioning that the document was in fact ‘Oppose Chemical and Biological Warfare’, which was widely distributed around campus after the demonstration
