The last witness to give oral testimony before the Tribunal of Enquiry into the events of 7th May is Jem Thomas (pp. 344-345 of transcripts), who is there primarily to answer questions about his allegation that Dr Bowden had damaged his glasses during a scuffle in the Committee Room of Wivenhoe House, following the disruption of Dr Inch’s lecture to the student Chemical Society
